Positive Behaviour Support
Behaviour is information.
When behaviour causes concern, we begin with curiosity. What is happening for this person? What might their behaviour be communicating? What in their relationships or environment could be making life harder?
Positive Behaviour Support at whole sense focuses on understanding the function of behaviour and improving quality of life. We work collaboratively with the person, their family and their support team to develop practical strategies that respect their strengths, needs and goals.
Understanding before intervention.
Functional behaviour assessments and individualised behaviour support plans help connect what we learn about the person with changes that can be used in everyday life.
Our work supports emotional regulation, skill development and approaches that reduce reliance on restrictive practices.
For participants, families and Support Coordinators
